Weingarten Rights
Good day Carriers,
Just so you know, if Management calls you into the office to have a talk with you, the first thing out of your mouth should be, “Could this meeting end in discipline for me?”
If they hesitate or say that it might, then you should ask for Union representation. This is your Weingarten Rights.
If they say, “No. No discipline. This is just a discussion.” Then Union representation is not required and could be denied.
Managers, by the contract, are allowed to have ‘Discussions’ with Carriers without the Shop Steward being present.
