Good day carriers,

Here are some topics that were covered at the NALC Branch 6000 Union Meeting on Thursday night, 11/17/2022 in no particular order:

There was a guest present named Tom who was a previous Vice-President of Branch 6000 and Walter has known him for more than fifty years.
Tom mentioned above was a PTF for ten years before he got converted. Wow! Walter was a PTF for four and a half years.
15% of the current workforce for Letter Carriers are CCAs.
Last month the membership with some matching funds from the Executive Board donated $1000+ to the Bill Burrow’s family. Bill Burrow was a fellow Letter Carrier who passed away off work by being hit by a car.
The Branch 6000 Credit Union has Holiday Loans up to $3500 and they also have a Holiday Club. Go to their website at https://branch6000cu.com/
It is currently Open Season for healthcare, so if you want to change your coverage or provider, you can do so until mid-December and the coverage will start in January.
We voted on delegates to the NALC NY State Convention for next year. I was nominated and I hope to attend. July 9-11, 2023.
