Bill Burrows

I learned at the Union meeting that Shop Steward Bill Burrows, 68, was hit by a car and died.
He was one year away from retiring.
This happened off the job.
$403 was raised at the Union meeting and we all voted to match that amount from the Branch 6000 treasury. This will be given to the surviving family members.
I am currently in the process of updating my life insurance. This may be a good time for you to review as well.
In case you aren’t aware, if you pass away on the job, the USPS and the NALC, if you are a member, gives your beneficiary a few thousand dollars. This amount may only cover funeral expenses.
Please take care of yourselves. Please make a will. Please tell your families and friends you love them. We never know when tradgedy may happen.
