Union Meeting, 12/15/2022

Here are some notes from the NALC Branch 6000 Union Meeting held on 12/15/2022.
They are in no particular order.
– 53 new CCAs hired.
– Negotiated pay raises and COLAs in past couple years has raised the top pay from $65,000 a year to $75,000.
– Though the new TIAREAP process looks like it is a mess, at one office, Walter was pleasantly surprised that out of an office of nine routes, eight of them were evaluated at or over 8 hours.
– A big concern is that management is trying to compress office times.
– Walter says, as a reminder, that any Route Count Inspection process is a way for management to cut routes and save on payroll costs.
– During the TIAREAP process a Carrier must keep the scanner on them at all times.
