Vacation List Time
Good day Carriers,
It’s time to start filling out vacation list for 2024.
Here are some things you will need to know in no particular order:
– If you have over 15 years of service you get to choose 5 weeks of vacation, but in the first pass around, you can only choose two weeks in prime and two weeks in non-prime time.
– If you have over three years of service you get four weeks of vacation. When the list comes to you, you can pick two weeks in prime and two weeks in non-prime.
– If you have less than three years or you are a CCA, you get to choose two weeks anywhere on the schedule.
– PTFs will be treated like regular carriers in seniority order.
– CCAs will choose vacation after all regular carriers have chosen their vacation times.
– You don’t have to choose all of your vacation time. However, on January 1st, all of the chosen vacation will be approved by Management.
– If you don’t choose vacation now for next year, later on you just need to turn in a 3971 to request vacation when you want it. Be advised, Management can deny vacation requests during prime time. As long as there is an opening in non-prime, they shouldn’t deny the request.
– When it is your time to choose, you have three days to get your vacation requests back to me, so start deciding now and be ready.
